Property NewsNational Partnership
Quest Serviced Apartments and MS Australia have formed a partnership to help fight the chronic disease of multiple sclerosis, which afflicts 2.5 million people around the world.
Quest has chosen MS Australia as the main beneficiary from its 'Quest For A Cause' fundraising activities, as there are clear synergies between the two organizations. Quest’s clientele is predominantly the business traveler aged between 30 and 55 while the average age for diagnosis of MS is 30, with 87 per cent of sufferers of working age.
Fundraising activities throughout the year include the annual MS Readathon, Melbourne Summer Cycle, MS Sydney To The Gong Bike Ride and the MS Walk & Fun Run during MS Awareness Week in June.
Local Partnerships
On a local level, Quest Serviced Apartments as a group is supporting key major community groups and organizations. It is key in our mind that as part of the “Quest Family” we extend that caring and supportive motivation throughout all areas.
Quest Townsville actively supports the Cancer Council of Australia throughout the year – including events such as Daffodil Day as well as the Pink Ribbon Campaign.
Quest on Bourke as part of the community is involved in several very special partnerships - FASHION INCUBATOR In a positive initiative Quest on Bourke was actively involved in supporting the Fashion Incubator - an amazing, innovative support group who take designers and cultivate their talent, through guidance and support in the fashion industry - with involvement in the Fashion weeks and Spring Racing in Melbourne - look at the the Fashion Incubator to find out more about up and coming Melbourne designers of tomorrow. AVON RACE FOR RESEARCH Quest on Bourke supports the Avon race for research. This is a non-profit event established by the Breast Cancer Institute of Australia to support the national breast cancer research programs of the Australian New Zealand Breast Cancer Trials Group. This 5km fun run/walk is for serious athletes as well as for beginners and families, and it takes on the picturesque Newcastle Foreshore, NSW. The 2008 Avon race for research will be held on Sunday 26 October. It is a fun day for the entire community and gives individuals the chance to become actively involved in increasing awareness of breast cancer and raising funds for breast cancer research. Since the inaugural race for research in 1996, this event has raised $350,000 for breast cancer research. This is an important contribution to our research progress and benefits all women, both in the local community and throughout Australia. Quest on Bourke is proud to support the Avon race for research by donating accommodation packages to be used as prizes for the event.
